How many hours do we spend sitting in front of our computers? How many breaks do we take to stretch our legs and eyes during the day?

For a few years now, I offer my clients in hashtag#Singapore the alternative to do coaching sessions in a park.

It came from the realisation that I was having my best ideas when being outdoors (running or walking), so that would probably be the case for my clients too!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬?

🚶‍➡️ - The first obvious benefit is to walk, get out of our office / screen and enjoy a good stretch. A change of scenery is always beneficial.

🧠 - As we walk, we bring more blood to our brain, helping with generating new and different ideas. Countless medical studies have shown the benefits of physical activity on mental activity and hashtag#wellbeing.

✨ - Unconscientiously, we remove some of the physical and mental barriers we have when we are in a known constrained space (eg. an office). We give ourselves more permission to explore, to be creative.

🙉 - I have also noticed, for some clients, more vulnerability. Nature does not feel threatening, adding to the safe space. There is also a higher sense of confidentiality and calm (especially if you usually work in an open space or use small conference rooms): nature supports you.

🌳 - Last but not least, after my coaching training last year with Climate Change Coaches (B-Corp), I have learned to use nature as a metaphor to help clients make connections, explore new paths and architect new solutions.

When I mention this alternative to clients, the response is always positive: sounds so promising, I want to try!

I also presented the concept in a peer coaching circle for some fellow coaches, leading others to adopt the same method!

⏩ Curious to try? Might be just the right time to reconnect with nature, generate new ideas and deepen your thinking.
